Veronika Fischer is a schlager singer who rose to fame in the former GDR with singles like "Du Willst Deinen Spass" and "Ein Gefuhl Wie das Leben". After studying at Dresden Music College, she debuted in Panta Rhei (1973) and went solo in 1975; albums Sommernachtsball (1976) and Aufstehn (1978) sold over a million each.
