Yasak Helva is a trio blending funk, jazz, arabesque, and metal into “electric folk.” Using traditional Turkish instruments, they fuse Anatolian, Balkan, and Middle Eastern sounds with rock and jazz. Known for their cover “Silifke Zeybegi,” they played Jazz a’Carthage and Sziget Festival, gaining global attention in alternative and traditional music scenes.
