About Yaz

Yaz (Yazoo in the UK) is an English synth-pop duo from Basildon, Essex, formed in 1981 by Alison Moyet (vocals) and Vince Clarke (keyboards). They are celebrated for blending electronic sounds with Moyet's soulful voice, influencing synth-pop and house music. Their acclaimed albums, "Upstairs at Eric's" and "You and Me Both," feature popular songs like "Only You," "Don't Go," and "Situation." Clarke later co-formed Erasure, and Moyet pursued a successful solo career.
