A Candlelight concert in Newcastle sets live strings or piano among hundreds of small flames, turning a quiet interior into a warm, low-lit space where familiar melodies can be heard up close and without distraction.
Settings include Adamstown Uniting Church, a suburban church in Adamstown a few kilometres west of the city centre, where the scale of the space keeps audiences close to the musicians and the candlelight.
Programs typically blend classical repertoire with reimagined modern music.
