Indian tabla master Zakir Hussain, born in Mumbai, transformed percussion music globally. Known for collaborations with George Harrison, John McLaughlin, and Mickey Hart, he co-founded Shakti and won a Grammy with Planet Drum. Honored with the Padma Shri, his vast discography includes Making Music and Good Hope.
