Founded in 1842, the New York Philharmonic is a cornerstone of global music culture. Founded in 1959, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, one of the few U.S. full-time chamber groups, has no permanent conductor and rotates five Artistic Partners. Known for a diverse repertory from Baroque to contemporary, they perform at various Twin Cities venues and have a strong focus on modern music, collaborating with major artists like Joshua Bell.
Born in Palermo, Fabio Biondi, a Baroque violinist, leads the pioneering Italian ensemble Europa Galante. Known for historically informed styles, he's recorded 100+ works, hitting 500,000 sales with Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Collaborated with Hespèrion XXI and Musiciens du Louvre.
