Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Albert Griffiths led the Gladiators to reggae fame with hits like "Hello Carol." Noted for their Studio One classics, the band collaborated with icons like Lee "Scratch" Perry and inked deals with labels such as Virgin Records.
