Oakfest is Back for 2024!

Donegal’s family friendly festival returns with a musical line-up including a long list of the country’s best musical talent coming together for a two-day live music festival right in the heart of Donegal. The event takes place on the 7th & 8th September 2024 with two very different line-ups, across two stages to rock and entertain you all day and into the night.

Saturday 7th September

Headlining Day 1, Saturday 7th September is the legend that is Chris Norman, the original lead singer of Smokie. British soft rock singer with an international following whose career spans several decades, known both for his solo hits in the '80s as well as his hits with Smokie in the '70s. Chris will be performing all the classics you will love to sing along to: Oh Carol, Mexican Girl, For A few Dollars More, I’ll Meet You at Mid Night and of course the famous Living Next Door to Alice, plus, many more familiar songs.

Up next are English glam rock band MUD, formed in February 1966. Their earlier success came in a pop and then glam rock style, while later hits were influenced by 1950s rock & roll and rockability and will be belting out their hits including "Dynamite" & "Tiger Feet" with 14 UK Top 20 hits between 1973 and 1976, including 3 number ones!

“Things Can Only Get Better” as D: REAM takes to the stage, whose 1993 hit sold over 600,000 copies and is as popular today as it was back then.

Direct from their Glastonbury performance on stage will be English rock band Top Loader, famous for their chart-topping hit, Dancing in the Moon Light. With over two million album sales and several top 20 hits both at home and abroad, they are guaranteed to have you truly entertained.

Back by popular demand once again is none other than Rory & The Island, an Oakfest favourite. The super performer, Donegal singer/songwriter, who needs no introduction, will once again entertain like only Rory can!

Get ready to be blown away by the musical talents of The Pontius Pilots from Strabane, Co. Tyrone. Celebrating their 15th anniversary, they have firmly established themselves as one of Ireland’s premier covers bands. The foursome has a wealth of performance experience that includes playing in places as far-flung as Japan and Australia, as well as having graced some of the most prestigious music festival stages like Glastonbury and Hyde Park.

Proving to be deserving to be centre stage once again are the sensational local band, Sheerbuzz. With their high-energy indie alt-rock, these four guys complete the lineup on Saturday.

Sunday 8th September

Day 2 of Oakfest brings a host of international tribute acts. Direct from Sweden are super band Arrival! Celebrating the music of Abba, having sold out the SSE, Millennium Forum, Derry, and fresh from Brighton where they celebrated 50 years of Abba performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Arrival from Sweden is made up of musicians that performed on stage with the original band.

Selling out major music venues, Mack Fleetwood will bring you on a magical musical journey from the Peter Green blues era to the multi-platinum selling band that still tours today.

Take a trip back in time to experience the magic and excitement of a live Queen concert with headliners Supersonic Queen: an action-packed show that is truly “guaranteed to blow your mind.” Bringing all the spirit and majesty of Queen to audiences all over the UK, this totally live 5-piece band delivers the best Queen tribute you’ll see today. They are the band that everybody wants to see, receiving glowing praise from audiences of all ages and die-hard Queen fans alike.

Alecia Karr - Official Tribute to Pink. The only girl to meet and sing live to her American idol. Endorsed by the Pink official fan page, Alecia has performed all over the UK and Europe. A very accomplished solo performer and formally recognized as the official tribute to Pink. Alecia has been performing her unbelievable tribute to the lady since 2005. She looks incredibly like the artist herself and many of her costumes are identical to Pink’s stage outfits.

The multi-talented Lauren Porter, So Taylor, as Taylor Swift with her amazing stage presence, is a very much sought-after performer. Covering all the country pop star's hits, with dazzling costumes, high energy, and a beautiful voice, you will not want to miss!
