Horse Lords, hailing from Baltimore, craft experimental rock with just intonation. Incorporating modular synthesis and polyrhythms, they draw influence from Krautrock and Afrobeat. Known for acclaimed albums like "Interventions" and "The Common Task," they’ve toured with Matmos and Lower Dens. The quartet features Andrew Bernstein, Max Eilbacher, Owen Gardner, and Sam Haberman, with "Comradely Objects" showcasing some of their most danceable work yet.
Jeff Tweedy, born in Belleville, Illinois, co-founded Uncle Tupelo, pioneering alt-country. Post-breakup, he formed Wilco, lauded for albums like "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot." Known for eclectic rock, he collaborated with Jim O'Rourke, Billy Bragg, and Mavis Staples. Hudson Valley's Mikaela Davis weaves 60s pop, psychedelia, and folk rock, collaborating with Bob Weir and Bon Iver. Her band, together for over a decade, debuts on And Southern Star, a reflection on life's evolving paths and relationships.
Horsegirl, a Chicago-based band, collaborated with musician/producer Cate Le Bon to create "Phonetics On and On," exploring space and texture with unique instruments and clear sonic territory.
