Candlelight concerts in Hamburg combine live classical and contemporary arrangements with the soft glow of hundreds of candles, creating an intimate setting for audiences across the city.
Among the locations hosting these performances are the MARKK Museum am Rothenbaum, an ethnographic museum near the Rothenbaum district whose grand halls give candlelit sets a stately backdrop, and the Kulturkirche Altona, a church in the Altona district whose vaulted acoustics suit string ensembles.
Programmes cover a broad range of styles arranged for this format.
