A Candlelight concert in Münster pairs live classical and contemporary music with the soft glow of hundreds of candles, giving familiar works a calm, close-up setting that suits the city's mix of historic and modern venues.
Among the locations are the Erbdrostenhof, a Baroque town palace in the old quarter whose ornate halls frame candlelit performances, and the Konzertsaal Friedenskapelle, a chapel converted into a concert space valued for its warm, resonant acoustics.
Programmes span a broad range of styles to suit different tastes.
