GRAMMY winner & EMMY nominee Dom Flemons, "The American Songster," spans 100+ years of music. Known for "Black Cowboys," co-founded Carolina Chocolate Drops. Featured at the Grand Ole Opry & Country Music Hall of Fame.

Rhiannon Giddens, a GRAMMY-winning artist, blends folk with deep history and modern flair. Born in North Carolina, she co-founded Carolina Chocolate Drops and leads the Silkroad Ensemble. Known for her collaborations with Francesco Turrisi and the Silkroad Ensemble, Giddens has also won a Pulitzer Prize. She hosts a PBS show and two podcasts, and is set to launch the Biscuits & Banjos festival.

Born in NYC to Haitian emigrants, Leyla McCalla excels in cello, tenor banjo, and guitar. A multilingual artist, she blends global influences in her music. Founding member of Our Native Daughters and former Carolina Chocolate Drops, she explores Afro-diasporic sounds. Her 2022 album, "Breaking the Thermometer," highlights the significance of a free press through Radio Haiti's story.
