The local cultural scene features classical string ensembles playing in venues illuminated by thousands of LED lights. Attending a Candlelight concert in Groningen provides audiences an alternative way to experience live music in a softly lit setting.
Settings include historic architecture across the city. Among the locations is the Martinikerk, known for its high vaulted ceilings and reverberant acoustics that naturally amplify acoustic instruments.
These string quartet events cover multiple musical genres adapted for classical instruments.
