LineUp

Peter Godwin, born in England, is known for his synth-pop style and the single "Images of Heaven" (1982). Initially part of Metro, collaborating with Stewart Copeland, he gained post-breakup fame with Bowie covering Metro's "Criminal World" in 1983. He later focused on writing and acting.
Formed by English Beat alumni Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger, General Public mixed pop with Motown soul. Known for hits like "Tenderness," they briefly reunited for the '95 album "Rub It Better" and a '94 soundtrack.
Born near Liverpool, China Crisis, led by Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon, fused pop with political commentary and reggae rhythms. Known for '80s hits like "Wishful Thinking" and albums like "Flaunt the Imperfection" produced by Steely Dan's Walter Becker. Their music charted across the UK, US, and Europe.
UK New Wave band The Vapors, formed in the 70s in Surrey, soared with 1980 hit "Turning Japanese". Managed by Bruce Foxton & John Weller, they enjoyed global success before disbanding in 1982. Reunited in 2016.
The Polecats, a rockabilly band from North London, formed in 1977. Known for "Rockabilly Guy" and "John, I'm Only Dancing," they found success with their LP *Polecats Are Go!* Initially signed by Nervous Records, they later joined Mercury Records.
Josie Cotton, a singer/songwriter/producer from Dallas, Texas, is best known for the 1980s hit "Johnny, Are You Queer?" Her quirky style spans pop, rockabilly, and more. She appeared in Valley Girl and Jackass Number Two. Cotton's collaborations include Prima Donna's Kevin Preston, Clem Burke (Blondie), and Lee Rocker (Stray Cats).
New wave band A Flock Of Seagulls from Liverpool soared in the USA before the UK. Known for hits like 'I Ran' and 'Wishing.' Founded by Mike Score, they won fame despite his noted hairstyle. Reunited briefly in 2003 for VH1.
Scotland-born Stuart Adamson formed Big Country in '81. Known for hits like "In a Big Country" and "Look Away", they achieved platinum success with 'The Crossing'. Famed for Celtic-inspired rock, they shone in the '80s and continued into the next century. Collaborated with Ray Davies.
The Icicle Works, a UK '80s band from Liverpool, stood out with hits like "Whisper to a Scream (Birds Fly)." Known for their big guitar sound, they experienced both US success and cult UK following. Ian McNabb, key band member, later pursued a solo career.
