The Kentucky Headhunters, formed in 1968 in Kentucky, blend honky tonk, blues, and Southern rock. Their debut album, Pickin' on Nashville (1989), was a major success. Known for hits like "Dumas Walker" and "Oh, Lonesome Me," they have collaborated with Johnnie Johnson. Their diverse sound transcends genres, evident in albums like Soul (2003) and That's a Fact, Jack! (2021). Celebrated for their rowdy yet skilled style, they have built a loyal fan base across rock and country music.
Confederate Railroad blends modern country with Southern rock, gaining fame with hits like "Queen of Memphis" and "Trashy Women." Known for their rowdy humor and sentimental ballads, they started in the Atlanta bar scene. Their debut went double platinum and they toured with legends like Johnny Paycheck.
Aaron Tippin, born in Pensacola, Florida, grew up in South Carolina. Renowned for '90s country hits, he delivers macho honky tonkers and patriotic anthems. Tippin's popular songs include "There Ain't Nothing Wrong with the Radio" and "Kiss This." Collaborated with Charley Pride, Mark Collie, and Joe Diffie, his "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly" broke into pop Top 20.
