Born in Redwood City, CA, Owen Ashworth, as Advance Base, performs poignant indie pop. Formerly Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, he blends acoustic and electronic sounds. Known for albums like "A Shut-In's Prayer" and "Animal Companionship," Ashworth collaborates with artists such as Serengeti and toured with bands like the Rapture. He co-produced Serengeti's "Family & Friends" and released a covers album "Wall of Tears & Other Songs I Didn't Write." Ashworth also contributed to Sun Kil Moon's acclaimed "Benji" and runs Orindal Records.
