Air

Air, founded by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel from Versailles, shaped electronic music with atmospheric and cinematic sounds. Known for debut Moon Safari and scores for The Virgin Suicides and Le Voyage Dans La Lune, their style draws from Burt Bacharach, Brian Wilson, and synthesizer pioneers. Collaborations with artists like Beck and Charlotte Gainsbourg highlight their diverse influence, achieving Platinum status in Europe, and shaping the genre into the 2000s.
