Melissa Laveaux and ALA.NI

Melissa Laveaux, a Haitian-Canadian singer-songwriter, was born in Montreal, raised in Ottawa, and is based in Paris. She blends folk, indie rock, and world music with her Haitian heritage, known for percussive guitar and soulful vocals. Notable albums include "Radyo Siwèl" and "Mama Forgot her Name was Miracle". She received the Prix Lagardère and the SACEM Prix des Musiques du Monde, and was knighted Chevalière des Arts et Lettres. Her music explores themes of justice and forgotten histories.

ALA.NI is a London-born singer with captivating vocals and a genre-defying, minimalist style. Her debut album You & I (2016) earned acclaim. She debuted on Later with Jools Holland and has collaborated with Jon Batiste, Iggy Pop and Lakeith Stanfield.
