Reykjavik band Kælan Mikla formed in 2013 for a poetry competition. Their 2015 song Kalt drew international attention. They’ve released four albums including Nótt eftir nótt and 2021’s Undir Köldum Norðurljósum, featuring Alcest.

MONO

MONO is a Tokyo, Japan-based 4-piece instrumental rock band formed in 1999, known for mixing orchestral arrangements with shoegaze guitar noise. They’ve toured 150 shows a year across 60+ countries and played anniversary shows with orchestras.

Alcest, founded in 2000 by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Neige and joined by drummer Winterhalter in 2009, are pioneers of post-metal/shoegaze “blackgaze”. Key releases include Le Secret, Écailles De Lune, Shelter and Spiritual Instinct (2019).
