Erykah Badu, born Erica Wright in Dallas, burst onto the scene with 1997's "Baduizm," featuring hits like "On & On." Known for her soulful style blended with '70s soul and '80s hip-hop, she has collaborated with the Roots, Flying Lotus, and more.
070 Shake, a New Jersey native, is known for her boundaryless, nocturnal music full of raw emotion. Signed to GOOD Music in 2016, she has collaborated with Kanye West, Nas, and Pusha T. Well-regarded for her poignant lyrics and emotive vocals, her work often explores romantic and human complexities. Her second album, "You Can’t Kill Me," delves deep into themes of emotional investment and detachment.
Toronto-based jazz ensemble BadBadNotGood blend '70s soul-jazz, alternative hip-hop, and experimental electronica. Known for jazz covers of artists like Odd Future and MF Doom, they gained fame with albums like III, which topped Billboard's Contemporary Jazz chart. Collaborating with Tyler, The Creator, Ghostface Killah, and Turnstile, they earned a Grammy nod for "Alien Love Call." French artist Folamour, skilled in multiple instruments, blends house, funk, and disco with a unique flair. Known for "Ordinary Drugs" and "Umami," his tracks infuse poetry and emotion, gracing labels like Glitterbox and his own FHUO Records. Collaborated with Lyon’s National Orchestra.
