Los Angeles quartet Ambrosia (formed 1970) fused symphonic art rock with slick pop. Discovered by conductor Zubin Mehta, they released Ambrosia (1975), spawning hits "Holdin' on to Yesterday" and "Nice, Nice, Very Nice." Covered "Magical Mystery Tour" (1977).
John Ford Coley, born in Dallas, Texas, is a Grammy-nominated singer, guitarist, and classically trained pianist. Renowned as half of England Dan & John Ford Coley, he achieved platinum and gold records with soft rock hits like "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight," "Nights Are Forever Without You," and "Love Is The Answer." He also acted, authored, and collaborated with diverse artists. His music spans pop rock, folk, and smooth yacht rock.
Peter Beckett, a Liverpool, England native, is a celebrated rock and pop rock singer and guitarist. He co-founded the band Player, achieving a US number one hit with "Baby Come Back" in 1977. Beckett also wrote songs for artists including Olivia Newton-John and Janet Jackson, contributed to film soundtracks, and was a member of Little River Band. He was inducted into the RockGodz Hall of Fame.
