Formed in Toronto in 1978, Anvil are Canadian heavy metal pioneers whose speedier, heavier sound helped lay groundwork for thrash. Albums Metal on Metal (1982) and Forged in Fire (1983) boosted their cult status.

Midnite Hellion

Ithaca, NY heavy metal/rock’n’roll band mixing classic no-frills riffs with thrash punch; albums "Condemned to Hell" and radio-hit "Kingdom Immortal" (prod. Alex Perialas); toured with Anvil & U.D.O.
