Apostol

Apostol is a Hungarian pop and jazz-rock band formed in Budapest in 1970. Initially playing jazz-rock inspired by bands like Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears, the group shifted toward a more commercial entertainment style in late 1973 after lead vocalist Jozsef Mezodi joined. They achieved widespread success in Hungary throughout the 1970s and 1980s, releasing numerous studio albums and popular hits, including "Nehez a boldogsagtol bucsut venni." Known for their active touring both domestically and abroad, the ensemble has received prestigious honors, including the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit in 2020.
