Aquilo are an English alternative electronic pop duo from Silverdale, Lancashire, consisting of vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Tom Higham and Ben Fletcher. Formed in 2013, the pair transitioned from fronting rival local rock bands to collaborating on atmospheric, melancholic downtempo music. They gained early recognition with self-released tracks on SoundCloud like "You There" and "Calling Me," leading to a performance at the 2014 Glastonbury Festival and a signing with Island Records. Their discography includes several EPs and notable studio albums such as Silhouettes (2017), ii (2018), A Safe Place to Be (2021), and the twin albums A Quiet Invitation to a Hard Conversation and You Should Get Some Sleep (2024).
