Atlanta Rhythm Section, from Doraville, Georgia, was a Southern rock band known for their radio-friendly style. They scored hits with "So Into You" and "Imaginary Lover." Managed by Buddy Buie, they reached their peak with the 1978 album Champagne Jam. The group performed at the White House and collaborated with artists like Travis Tritt and Wynonna Judd.
The Outlaws, formed in Tampa, mixed Southern rock with Eagles-like harmonies. Known for hits like "Green Grass & High Tides," they achieved success with their 1975 debut. Despite lineup changes, they reunited in 2012.
