Azymuth

Azymuth, a Brazilian jazz-funk trio from the 1970s, blends jazz, samba, disco, and electronic music. Known for "Jazz Carnival," they influenced many artists and have been remixed by DJs like Theo Parrish and Jazzanova. Founders include Jose Roberto Bertrami, Alex Malheiros, and Ivan Conti. They recorded over 20 albums, gained fame in the '80s, and collaborated with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. Despite lineup changes, they thrived musically, with the acclaimed "Light as a Feather" and "Fenix" albums.
