British reggae singer Maxi Priest, born in London, gained fame with hits like "Close to You" & "Wild World." Known for fusing reggae, R&B, and lovers rock, he collaborated with artists like Shaggy, and Robin Trower.
Badfinger, Welsh power pop band, were Beatles’ protégés on Apple label. Known for hits like "No Matter What" & "Day After Day", their style mixes melodic pop with hard rock. Faced tragic setbacks despite early success and collaborations with George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Todd Rundgren.
Born in San Antonio, Christopher Cross dominated 1980s adult contemporary music with hits like "Sailing" and "Ride Like the Wind." He won 5 Grammys in 1981 and an Oscar for "Arthur's Theme," co-written with Burt Bacharach. His subsequent albums include "Another Page" and "Walking in Avalon."
Jason Scheff, former lead vocalist for Hall of Fame inductee Chicago, replaced Peter Cetera in 1985. Known for his songwriting and vocals, he shaped the band's successful eras in the 80s and 90s.
