Rome's Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, formed in 1969 by the Nocenzi brothers, became icons of Italian prog rock. Known for operatic vocals and jazz-classical fusion, they influenced bands worldwide. Hits include their 1972 debut and 1973's "Io Sono Nato Libero." Despite an '80s shift to prog pop, they returned to form with 1994's "Il Tredici," captivating fans with their dynamic live shows.
