Barclay James Harvest

Barclay James Harvest, formed in Oldham, Lancashire in 1966, gained fame in progressive rock with melodic songs and Beatles-like harmonies. Though lacking major hits, they became popular in Europe after signing with Polydor in 1973. Known for albums like "Gone to Earth" and "Concert for the People," they achieved significant success in Germany. Their live performances drew huge audiences, including a landmark Berlin concert in 1980. Members included John Lees, Les Holroyd, Woolly Wolstenholme, and Mel Pritchard, with collaborations featuring Kevin McAlea and Colin Browne.
