Ludwig van Beethoven, a German composer and pianist from Bonn, bridged the Classical and Romantic eras with his innovative, emotionally intense music. Renowned for works like the "Moonlight Sonata," Fifth Symphony, and Ninth Symphony, he revolutionized instrumental music, elevating it to high art. He continued composing despite profound deafness.
Founded in 1959, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra quickly became a top U.S. ensemble under directors like Andreas Delfs, and renowned for collaborations with leading soloists. Known for its robust concert tours in Europe, Japan, and a historic Cuba visit, it boasts frequent broadcasts and celebrated recordings.
