The GRAMMY Museum Welcomes Ben Folds

The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome Ben Folds to National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY to discuss his latest music, career, touring, and creative process with a special live performance. Ben Folds is one of the many artists to be featured in the GRAMMY Museum’s New York City program series, which includes bringing a slate of the GRAMMY Museum’s renowned GRAMMY In The Schools Education Programs and Public Programs to the East Coast. “A New York Evening With…” is generously supported by the Dawn and Brian Hoesterey Family Foundation.

About Ben Folds

Ben Folds is an Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter who has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, a holiday album, and numerous collaborative records. He currently tours as a pop artist while also performing for over two decades with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras.

Folds, who served for eight years as the first ever Artistic Advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, stepped down from his post when Trump announced his takeover of the Center. On October 25 and 26, 2024, just days before the presidential election, Folds recorded two sold-out performances with the NSO which he released as a live album on July 4th of this year.

A New York Times Best Selling author, Ben also creates new music for film, TV and theatre, with original new music he composed to be featured in an animated Peanuts special airing this summer on Apple TV.

In 2022, he launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that offer free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically-disadvantaged households. For the past 15 years, he has been an outspoken advocate for arts funding, music education and music therapy on the national level as a member of Americans For The Arts and the Arts Action Fund.

This ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused by refunding the face amount of the ticket or ejection may occur for failure to comply with any facility rule. The holder agrees not to transmit or aid in transmitting any description, picture, recording or reproduction of the event.

The holder acknowledges that the event may be captured and recorded by audio, audiovisual, and/or photographic means, and hereby grants permission to utilize the holder’s image and/or voice in any and all media now known or hereafter devised to further the interests and mission of the Recording Academy. It is unlawful to reproduce this ticket in any form. The holder assumes all risks incidental to the event, whether occurring prior to, during or after the event, and releases the facility, management, all participants and each of their affiliates, employees, officers, directors, members, partners, owners, managers, sponsors, contractors, and agents from any loss, damage or expense resulting from any such risk. The Recording Academy reserves all legal rights and remedies.
