LineUp

Doug E. Fresh, a pioneer in human beatboxing, was born in Barbados. Known for his classic hip-hop hits "The Show" and "La Di Da Di" with the Get Fresh Crew. His albums "Oh, My God!" and "The World's Greatest Entertainer" showcased his diverse style. He collaborated with renowned rapper Slick Rick.
Brooklyn-born Big Daddy Kane, alias for Antonio Hardy, emerged in the late '80s as a hip-hop icon. Known for his smooth style and Afrocentric themes, Kane was part of the Juice Crew, collaborated with Biz Markie, and released classics like "Ain't No Half-Steppin'." He gained fame with hits such as "Smooth Operator" and worked alongside legends like Barry White. Despite a dip with the 1991 album Prince of Darkness, Kane's influence remains substantial in the genre.
MC Lyte, a pioneering rapper and actress from Brooklyn, is the first female rapper Grammy-nominee and first to go gold. She’s performed at Carnegie Hall, the White House, and received numerous honors, including B.E.T.'s I AM HIP HOP award.
