Raised in Ripon, North Yorkshire, Billie was influenced by Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell. Signed originally to Chess Club Records, her debut album "Writing of Blues and Yellows" earned critical acclaim. Known for its diarist style, she moved to London and later released "Feeding Seahorses By Hand". After leaving Sony, she signed with Fiction Records and explored new sounds with Rich Cooper. Billie's songs often tackle themes like modernity, nature, and mental health.
