Formed in Toronto in 1998 by Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw, alt-rock band Metric relocated to NYC and later added Joules Scott Key and Joshua Winstead. Known for a fiercely independent ethos, they released nine boundary-pushing studio albums without major labels.

East London indie rock/post-punk band led by Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack. Broke through with platinum 2005 debut Silent Alarm (Mercury Prize shortlist), featuring "Banquet." Follow-ups include A Weekend in the City and Intimacy.

Blonde Redhead

Blonde Redhead are a rock trio of Kazu Makino and Italian twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace. Their 2023 album Sit Down for Dinner was critically acclaimed; The Shadow of the Guest reimagines songs like “Before” and “For The Damaged Coda,” with Brooklyn Youth Chorus.
