Founders include John Popper and Chan Kinchla. Known for extended jams akin to the Grateful Dead, they started the H.O.R.D.E. Festival in 1992. Their 2021 covers album, *Traveler's Blues*, was Grammy-nominated, featuring guests like Keb Mo. Additionally, they collaborated with artists such as Jewel and Hanson in 2015's *Blow Up the Moon*.

After splitting in 1997, they reunited in 2001 and continued to release albums and tour, keeping their '90s alt-rock legacy alive.
