Nathalie Stutzmann, born in Suresnes, France, is a notable contralto and conductor. She's led major ensembles in North America and Europe and is the music director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Known for her performances in French opera and German lieder, Stutzmann has won several awards, including a Grammy nomination. She founded Orfeo 55 and is acclaimed for both her vocal and conducting skills.
Emanuel Ax, born in Lvov, Poland, is a celebrated classical pianist known for his chamber music and collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma. He has won multiple Grammys and the Avery Fisher Prize. Famous for performing music by Bartók, Schoenberg, and Mozart, Ax records with Sony Classical and teaches at Juilliary.
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1945, transformed from a youth group to a Grammy-winning ensemble known for musical excellence and global tours. Famous for its collaborations with top soloists and innovative repertoire, ASO has a strong focus on new music.
