Shreveport, Louisiana-born guitarist Norman Brown blends contemporary jazz and R&B. He broke out with Just Between Us (1992) and scored a Grammy for Just Chillin’ (2002). A BWB member, he topped Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Albums chart with Let It Go and Highest Act of Love.
New Rochelle, New York-born saxophonist Boney James, known for a gritty contemporary jazz sound blending soul-jazz, R&B, funk, and pop. Leader debut Trust (1992); four Grammy nominations and RIAA gold albums. Solid (2020) hit #10 Billboard Current Pop Albums.
Swiss contemporary jazz keyboardist Alex Bugnon (nephew of Donald Byrd) grew up attending the Montreux Jazz Festival. Trained at the Paris Conservatory and Berklee, he backed Patti Austin and James Ingram before debuting with 1989’s Love Season.
