LineUp

Formed in 1976 at Kentucky State University, MIDNIGHT STAR rose to fame with technofunk hits like "Freak-A-Zoid" and "No Parking on the Dance Floor." Their albums earned multiple Platinum and Gold certifications, with chart-toppers like "Operator," "Midas Touch," and collaborations like "Don’t Rock the Boat" with Whodini. Performing worldwide, they remain an iconic band in funk and R&B.
Chicago’s Chi-Lites, led by Eugene Record, are known for smooth soul hits like “Oh Girl” and “Have You Seen Her.” They scored 11 Top Ten R&B singles in the ’70s and influenced artists like Beyoncé.
Trish Toledo, from Harbor Area, is an Ecuadorian/Guatemalan soul artist with roots in her father's Cumbia band. Known for "Thee Only One," she has evolved from Ska/reggae to a celebrated solo career.
Aalon Butler, a Los Angeles-born soul/rock musician, played with Eric Burdon before forming Aalon. His 1977 debut, "Cream City," showcased his unique style, but remained underrated.
Thee Sacred Souls, a young band from San Diego, is known for their soulful sound and exquisite craftsmanship. With millions of Spotify listeners, they've impressed celebrity fans like SZA and Alicia Keys. Their NPR Tiny Desk performance was a hit, marking them as rising stars in just two years.
