Since opening its doors again to the public on December 1, 2025, The Plaza Theatre has featured comedy, classical, opera, pop and rock music, along with documentary and classic films. Now, The Plaza Theatre will be shining a spotlight on local and emerging talent from all corners of the Coachella Valley. Brian Ray (part-time Palm Springs resident, member of Paul McCartney's band, and member of the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre Foundation's board) and Matt King (award-winning Coachella Valley journalist, events promoter at Dunes Booking, and musician) are teaming up to offer Brian Ray Presents: Desert Scene, an event designed to unify the local music community. As local music hubs close, and venues increasingly cater toward touring acts and established names, opportunities for local artists shrink. Desert Scene will spotlight emerging talent from all the desert cities on a historic local stage, and help foster connections throughout the valley's creative community.

Accessibility

The Plaza Theatre is committed to accessibility in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Accessible seating is available at the orchestra level, including locations with removable seats. Guests requiring accommodations are encouraged to contact the box office in advance at [email protected]. As a historic venue, some areas reflect the original design. Please note that mezzanine seating is accessible by stairs only; guests are encouraged to plan accordingly and allow additional time.

Venue Policies

The theatre is fully digital and cashless. Tickets must be presented on a mobile device for entry; printed tickets and screenshots will not be accepted. All sales are final. Refunds or exchanges are issued only in the event of cancellation or postponement.
