LineUp

Ludwig van Beethoven, a German composer and pianist from Bonn, bridged the Classical and Romantic eras with his innovative, emotionally intense music. Renowned for works like the "Moonlight Sonata," Fifth Symphony, and Ninth Symphony, he revolutionized instrumental music, elevating it to high art. He continued composing despite profound deafness.
Edward Benjamin Britten, Baron Britten, was an English composer, conductor, and pianist who became a central figure of 20th-century British classical music. A prolific artist from an early age, he studied at the Royal College of Music and privately with Frank Bridge, gaining international renown with his 1937 Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge. He is celebrated for his extensive body of work spanning opera, choral, orchestral, and chamber music, most notably his landmark 1945 opera Peter Grimes, the War Requiem, and The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. Along with his lifelong personal and professional partner, tenor Peter Pears, he co-founded the English Opera Group and the prominent Aldeburgh Festival in 1948, and in 1976 became the first composer to be awarded a life peerage.
An American organization dedicated to the performance and promotion of chamber music, based at Alice Tully Hall in New York's Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and featuring a rotating roster of world-class musicians.
Gioachino Antonio Rossini was an influential Italian composer and conductor who gained widespread fame for his 39 operas, bridging the late Classical and early Romantic eras. Born in Pesaro to musical parents, he began composing by age twelve and studied at the music school in Bologna before making his dazzling operatic debut in Venice in 1810. He set new standards for both comic and serious opera with masterpieces like The Barber of Seville, Cinderella, and William Tell, before retiring from large-scale composition in 1829 at the height of his popularity.
