Hamilton, OH funk group Zapp, led by Roger Troutman, helped shape electro with vocoder talk box grooves. Their 1980 debut spawned "More Bounce to the Ounce"; later hits include "Dance Floor," "Computer Love" and "I Want to Be Your Man."
