Case Oats formed when writer/poet Casey Gomez Walker met drummer Spencer Tweedy (who’s played with Jeff Tweedy, Waxahatchee, Mavis Staples, and Norah Jones). The band crafts country-rock-leaning songs with wry, confessional lyrics; “Seventeen” introduced their sound.
