His unique style blends guitar effects with a variety of genres like hard rock, funk, and new wave. He released solo albums like "The Lone Rhino" and collaborated with artists such as Les Claypool and Danny Carey. He was also the musical director for David Bowie's "Sound and Vision" tour. In the 2000s, Belew was involved with King Crimson and launched innovative music apps, FLUX and FLUX:FX.
