Brooklyn-born Kevin Devine emerged from New York's indie rock and emo scene with Miracle of 86 before launching a solo career. Known for introspective songs about love, life, and politics, his popular albums include "Make the Clocks Move" and "Brother's Blood." His work blends uptempo rock with contemplative tracks, collaborating with artists like Jesse Lacey and Cymbals Eat Guitars. Devine used crowdfunding for projects, achieving success with solo ventures and collaborative efforts.
