LineUp

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1891 by Theodore Thomas, is among America's top acclaimed orchestras. Guided by notable music directors like Frederick Stock, Fritz Reiner, and Sir Georg Solti, the orchestra achieved international renown, celebrated recordings, and numerous awards.
Born in Athens, violinist and conductor Leonidas Kavakos won the International Sibelius Competition and earned a Gramophone Award for his recording of the Sibelius concerto. He has toured globally, served as artistic director of Camerata Salzburg, and collaborated in all-star chamber music projects with Yo-Yo Ma and Emanuel Ax.
Igor Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring," a groundbreaking 1913 ballet and orchestral work, originated in Paris. A landmark of musical Modernism, it is known for its brutal rhythms, dissonance, and Russian folk influences. Created with Sergei Diaghilev, Nicholas Roerich, and Vaslav Nijinsky, its premiere caused a historic sensation. It profoundly shaped 20th-century music.
