Chisato Moritaka

Born in Japan, Chisato Moritaka, dubbed "Dance Queen," found fame with her Janet Jackson and Pink Lady influenced pop tunes and memorable ballads. Known for her mini-skirts, Moritaka wrote most of her lyrics and music, even composing for others. Hit song "17 Sai" led her to top charts and popularize a signature military-style outfit. Despite dropping sales by 1999 and moving to semi-retirement, she's left a legacy in music and commercials.
