About the Band

The Chris Greene Quartet has been a highly visible part of Chicago’s jazz scene since 2005 and has maintained a stable lineup from the beginning. The exception is Steve Corley, who has held the drum chair since 2011. Damian Espinosa on piano and keyboards and Marc Piane on acoustic and electric basses have been onboard since the beginning. Unique among Chicago bands, most of whom feature, by necessity, constantly shifting personnel, the CGQ has been able to develop a true group sound and feel, harking back to bands from the classic age of jazz when groups could stay together for long periods of time. While honoring the tradition, the CGQ incorporates elements of funk, hip-hop, rock, pop, the blues, and reggae, reflecting their diverse backgrounds.

Recent Achievements

CGQ’s most recent record - PlaySPACE 2 - Play Harder recently received a 4 1/2 star rating from DownBeat Magazine. The band was also recently honored at the 2018 Chicago Music Awards with an award for Best Jazz Entertainer and recently won the Best Jazz Band category in the Chicago Reader Best of Chicago Poll.

Thank you for purchasing a ticket to FITZGERALDS! If you selected Will Call, you'll check in at the entrance when doors open for the show. Please have an ID ready. If the event is General Admission, there is no Reserved Seating. Under 21 ok if accompanied by parent or guardian.

Tickets are NOT mailed to you unless you select delivery. All Tickets are Non-Refundable. All Tickets are Non-Transferrable. A NON-REFUNDABLE service charge will be added to the purchase price of each ticket - in the instance of a show cancellation, this fee will not be returned.

Parking is available on the street with no permit restrictions or meters; DO NOT park in business or mini-mall lots or you will be towed. NO Filming or Audio Recording without written consent from the performing artist. Outside food and/or drink is not allowed.
