London-born lyricist/guitarist Chris Difford co-founded new wave pop band Squeeze with Glenn Tilbrook. Known for literate songwriting and hits like “Tempted,” “Pulling Mussels,” and “Black Coffee in Bed,” he also released solo albums including I Didn't Get Where I Am.
San Antonio, TX-born adult contemporary singer-songwriter Christopher Cross broke out in 1980 with Ride Like the Wind and #1 Sailing, winning five Grammys in 1981. He later earned an Academy Award for Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do).
