Codeine, an early '90s New York trio, pioneered the American slowcore genre, influenced by Velvet Underground & Galaxie 500. Known for albums like "Frigid Stars LP" and "The White Birch," they had a unique, slower sound. Reunited in 2012, released anthology "When I See the Sun." Collaborated with David Grubbs and Jon Fine.
