LineUp

Formed in Sydney in 1988, The Cruel Sea fused clean instrumentals with rough-edged rock vocals led by Tex Perkins. After touring Europe with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, they released The Honeymoon Is Over, reaching #4 nationally and winning 4 ARIA Awards.
Karen Lee Andrews draws on classic soul, R&B, gospel and her Polynesian background, increasingly leaning into blues. Her 2018 EP Far From Paradise marked a shift; she toured Australia’s east coast, played Woodford and supported Jimmy Barnes and Gregory Porter.
Formed in Perth in 2004, Birds of Tokyo are one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands. Top 10 airplay hits include Plans, Lanterns and This Fire. One of Triple J’s most played artists, they’ve won APRA Rock Work of the Year five times.
Adelaide alt-rockers The Superjesus, led by Sarah McLeod & Stuart Rudd: 9 Top 50 hits, 2 Top 10 albums, 5 Triple J Hottest 100 songs, 3 ARIAs; SA Hall of Fame.
